“That’s the one thing I always think about for my kids: what are they going to eat when they get older? What are they going to do, what are they going to hunt? I think we need like a national park. Just like a reserve, just for the caribou where nobody can touch them. Let the numbers increase. And give out less tickets, less tags for hunting. Because some people when they go out hunting out on the tundra in the winter road season towards the mines, the people, they over-harvest. Some people just shoot too much. Others just do it, they just get the thrill of shooting caribou and they forget that they only need a certain amount. That’s what I’ve learned these last few years.”
