“Some say the Creator’s giving us an offering when a caribou comes up to us. Sometimes I hear stories from my grandfather that before – sometimes we don’t go out looking for it, sometimes the caribou looks for you. I don’t know what he meant by that but it’s cool to hear. Sometimes they say the Creator provides, sometimes they do, yeah, it’s awesome.

Because back then our grandparents’ parents, they had a different way of living than my generation did. Us, we grew up with technology, you know? We hunt indoors if you think about it. But them, they could just out no technology, nothing. You know, they know the way of the land, they know where they hibernate, they know the way of the land, like, travelling. They know how to track. But nowadays, people my age they need devices, they need GPS. Just seeing them in their natural habitat, tracking just by looking at a tree knowing that there was fresh tracks, I don’t know how they can tell but just seeing it in front of my eyes it’s pretty amazing.”
